Biography

Dr. Ben Sivarajan is a Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist and Medical Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Toronto and completed subsequent residency and fellowship training at The Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto), The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and The Royal Children’s Hospital (Melbourne, Australia).

 

Dr. Sivarajan is currently involved in ongoing national and international collaborations in multi-centre research. He has served as the Program Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program, one of only 2 programs in Canada and 26 such programs in North America. This program has trained 1-2 fellows per year since 2016 and accepts high quality trainees from around the world. He currently serves on the Pediatric Critical Care Examination Board of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He has been actively involved in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society and is serving as Program Co-Chair for the 2024 International Society Meeting.
